Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Word and Excel, is preferred.
  • Experience with dock operation equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other dock equipment.
  • Experience managing supplies inventory.
  • Ability to follow oral/written instructions: communicate effectively with Management, colleagues, and external customers.
  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving is an added plus.

Job description

SUMMARY

The purpose of the Warehouse/Facilities Operations Assistant is to provide general facility support and serve as a backup to the Security Operations Department Manager. This position will be responsible for all warehouse/dock services, such as shipping and receiving, mail/package deliveries, warehousing, and inventory of pharmacy and general office supplies. It will also work with building service vendors. In addition, this position will provide a safe and secure work environment, with an emphasis on the protection of people, property, and products, and on Warehouse/Dock Safety.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and supplies inventory management
  • Use of Dock equipment such as Pallet Jacks, electric pallet jacks, and other dock-related equipment
  • Process incoming and outgoing UPS, FedEx, courier deliveries, etc., and deliver packages and boxes to office recipients
  • Provide general facility support by fulfilling routine light maintenance work, room setup, moving office equipment, and furniture
  • Works with internal/external stakeholders and provides general support.
  • Make routine checks of the facility and equipment, ensuring safety and security
  • Perform any necessary follow-up tasks to ensure the facility is secure.Assist in all emergencies such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc
  • Monitor and implement established security and facility policies and procedures for all employees, guests, and vendors, which includes providing access capabilities, identification badges for controlled entry to the facility, and monitoring the facility and perimeter parking areas
  • Make routine checks of the facility, ensuring safety and security. Complete interior and exterior building patrols 3-4 times each shift, noting any irregularities. Checking all secured areas, including computer and data rooms, and electrical closets throughout AssistRx property
  • Train and work within the Brivosecurity database or similar. Load access cards in the system when required and add/delete access as needed. Be able to run database reports when requested by the department's Security Manager. Work with established access groups within the security database
  • Assistin all emergency situations such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc. Serve as the point of contact and chief warden during drills and live emergencies at the facility. Be Familiar with all assembly areas and escape routes, and coordinate drills annually
  • Assist HR and Security management on termination requests. Prepared to stand by and give assistance as needed. Keep Security Management apprised and updated on all situations involving terminations. Ensure terminations are escorted from the building and leave the property
  • The ability to generate and submit security incident reports as needed. Reports must be written and turned into Security Management promptly
  • Able to perform all aspects of the CCTV system within the facility. Must be able to monitor and pull recorded video when requested by Security Management. The officer may be requested to pullvideoto send to the Security Manager (only) for review
  • Provide daily checks of the facility CCTV system
  • You must be able to take instructions and complete tasks as needed
  • Flexible to work overtime with the ability to stand post for long periods of time when needed
  • Assist with generating facility Work Orders and provide the necessary follow-up until the work order is completed
  • General customer service work that involves greeting and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors
  • Perform any necessary follow-up tasks to ensure the facility is secure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse and facility
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • May require assistance or use of equipment for heavier items
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, or kneeling to access materials or inspect inventory
  • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders to access higher storage areas
  • Use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, or handle inventory and paperwork
  • Close, distance, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception to navigate the warehouse and operate equipment safely
  • Clear hearing and speaking ability for effective communication with team members and while operating equipment
  • Pushing and pulling carts, pallets, or equipment as needed
  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on warehouse climate
  • May involve noise from machinery, forklifts, and warehouse operations
