Job summary

Leeco Steel is seeking a Warehouse Worker for our Portage, IN location to help control inventory and move steel from receiving to shipping. The role demands accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to document processes in databases and Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities include receiving orders, loading and distributing steel, storing products, verifying locations, and assisting in shipment preparation. Prior crane operation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong teamwork, coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to plan, manage time effectively and report accurately.
• Experience with inventory control processes, documentation and data entry will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders, loads and process steel distribution.
• Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusts storage areas per production/shipping needs; updates location database.
• Prepares product for shipment by verifying location and directing movement to staging area; resolves issues as they arise.
• Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusts entries as needed.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintains databases.
• Monitors inventory by performing counts as required.
• Contributes to distribution and organization goals by completing related tasks; reports on Excel spreadsheets.

Leeco Steel is a leading supplier of steel plate from the premier mills worldwide. Due to our continued growth we are seeking additional Warehouse workers for our Portage, IN location. Previous experience operating an overhead crane is preferred.
