Job summary

Eakes Office Solutions in Grand Island, NE is seeking a full-time Distribution Center associate to support loading, unloading, picking, and packing. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include operating a stand-up forklift, loading pallets for shipment, delivering between Eakes locations, and maintaining clean, organized facilities.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent desirable.
• Delivery/Warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to learn how to operate a stand-up forklift.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse: Operate a stand-up forklift to move product within the Distribution Center.
• Delivery: Load and wrap pallets for shipment with various carriers and deliver to other Eakes locations.
• Maintenance: Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment; general interior and exterior building upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned as needed.

Job Location: Distribution Center Location - Grand Island, NE 68803, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: Day, Responsible for supporting various functions in the company's Distribution Center. role in a warehouse environment. Will assist with unloading and loading product, picking, and packing, with the goal to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Position will also serve as a back-up inter-store driver. This position is Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities

Warehouse

• Utilize stand-up forklift to move product around the Distribution Center.
• Load and wrap pallets for shipment with various carriers.
• Ensure that shelves are kept at proper stocking levels and are in and orderly condition.
• Pull merchandise for customer orders and properly prepare for delivery.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

Delivery

• Safely load, deliver, and unload deliveries to other Eakes locations.
• Ensure all supply deliveries are completed correctly, courteously, and efficiently.

Maintenance

• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general interior and exterior building maintenance as needed.

Other Duties As May Be Assigned Qualifications
