Overview:

The Warehouse/Merchandising Associate plays a key role in maintaining existing customer relationships and is responsible for entry-level warehouse operations and in-store activities for our retail and food service customers. We are looking for individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service, high energy, and the ability to work well in a small team environment. Flexibility with schedule, including occasional weekend work, is required.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

1. Receive weekly product deliveries and stock the cooler.
2. Ensure proper rotation of perishable items for inventory freshness.
3. Pick and pack orders for delivery.
4. Perform daily food safety and sanitation activities.
5. Monitor cooler temperature.
6. Rotate and stock retail products, coolers, and service cases, managing back stock appropriately.
7. Price retail items, including backstock.
8. Review expiration dates and note short-coded products.
9. Set up deli display cases, ensuring products are displayed, priced, and faced correctly.
10. Clean and maintain retail showcases.
11. Update and restock POS materials.
12. Engage consumers through product sampling to promote delicatessen products.
13. Complete additional activities or projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic math and reasoning skills.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar roles.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for at least 4 hours.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Lift or carry objects up to 50 lbs; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Work in refrigerated/freezer environments.

Training Provided:

• Food safety and sanitation.
• Product line familiarity.
