Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Merchandise Handler to join our Pick & Pack team. You will pick orders from multiple rack levels using a cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck, then stage shipments for loading while maintaining accurate pallet labeling.

The role is full-time, hourly, with opportunities for safety training and career growth in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong English communication and reliable teamwork are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recent work experience in warehousing or logistics.
• Experience operating order pickers, cherry pickers, counterbalance and reach trucks.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Self-starter with strong customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to perform basic math and stay detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products from multi-level racks and stage for shipment.
• Load/unload shipments using cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truck.
• Prepare and label pallets, transport goods to designated areas safely.
• Maintain clean, orderly warehouse and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in safety trainings and wear required PPE.

Pay Range$23.00 - $29.50Purpose:Merchandise Handlers are a vital part of our Pick & Pack Department, which includes the decorative items carried by floor & Decor. Your key responsibilities include picking orders from multi-level racks using a cherry picker, counter balance, and reach truck, putting away product, and staging orders for shipment. If you enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented and physical job, this is the job for you!Minimum Eligibility Requirements:One to three years of recent work experienceOne to three years of experience operating an order picker/cherry picker, counterbalance, and reach truckExcellent communications skills (Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently)Must be a self-starter and possess excellent customer service skillsAbility to perform basic mathematical operations (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)Must be detail oriented and highly organizedEssential Job Functions:Accurately pick product from multi-level racks and stage, load and unload shipments to and from trailers,containers, and/or designated areas safely using a cherry picker, counterbalance and reach truckEfficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areasTransport product to and from designated areas as directedPull and prepare product for shipment, label pallets accurately and stage for shipping as scheduledHandle merchandise for picking and put away, breaks down and consolidates pallets for put away orpickingOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and safetyRequirements/proceduresComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsOn a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipmentMaintain clean, orderly warehouse and loading areasParticipate in training and learning sessions to increase knowledge of functions and processes within the WarehouseFollow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position. This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications. Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations. All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.Working Conditions (travel & environment)This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a weekWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
