Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, is seeking a Materials Handler to support the warehouse operations within the Logistics Service. You will manage storage plans, move supplies between locations, and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.

The role requires coordinating shipments and maintaining inventory and reporting standards. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements storage plans for assigned area(s) and arranges movement of supplies between warehouse locations.
• Consolidates materials and optimizes space usage while protecting materials.
• Coordinates shipments and placements of materials on docking areas.
• Rotates stock and checks for outdated materials; maintains safeguards and temperature controls.
• Delivers and warehouses materials including hazardous, flammable and temperature-sensitive products.
• Operates vehicles up to 4500 pounds and supports lifting tasks.
• Generates monthly reports and status updates; supports warehouse projects as needed.
