Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking a warehouse associate to perform a full range of warehouse functions in a large facility or serve as the principal materials handler in a smaller operation. The role includes receiving, storing, and assembling items for issue and distribution, as well as processing shipments and maintaining accurate counts during inventories.

Responsibilities also include coordinating loading processes, ensuring proper packing and labeling, and complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse functions and handling shipments.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift up to 15,000 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of warehouse functions in a large warehouse or as principal materials handler.
• Receive, store, and assemble items for issue, shipment and distribution.
• Process incoming shipments and verify documentation against labels.
• Load shipments onto conveyances and ensure correct loading.
• Organize storage space and item locations for efficiency and safety.
• Count items during inventories and assist in discrepancy resolution.
• Operate one or more MHE types such as forklift or stock selector.
