Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a Material Handler Lead (1st Shift - B2C) to supervise a warehouse team, coordinate receiving, storage and order fulfillment, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will distribute work, oversee loading/unloading, manage material flow, and support continuous improvement while complying with procedures. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year in warehouse, forklift certification preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of warehouse or distribution experience.
• One to two years industry-related experience preferred.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Strong communication and reading/comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign daily work to team members; promote safety and quality standards.
• Oversee loading and unloading of products.
• Move materials from receiving to storage or designated areas.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution within area.
• Ensure proper labeling and packing of goods.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare pallets for packing/shipping.
• Support in cargo receiving and material handling tasks.
• Sort materials according to size, type, or product code.
