Job description

We are seeking a skilled Materials Handler with Inventory Experience and MS Excel skills to join our client’s team, one of the US’s largest security companies.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders
  • Flexibility regarding job assignments and applications
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Stock and supply materials to departments under general supervision
  • Pull sales and work orders according to requirements
  • Read and interpret work orders, pick lists, and verbal instructions
  • Verify incoming inventory for accuracy
  • Audit queue reports and make adjustments as needed
  • Conduct inventory counts and transactions
  • Restock inventory racks and complete parts orders
  • Operate counting scales and deliver materials using pallet jacks, dollies, or by hand
  • Prepare materials for outside processing
  • Package parts kits and apply labels
  • Receive and check shipments against packing lists and work orders
  • Verify shipment accuracy against bills of lading
  • Assemble boxes and crates for shipping
  • Prepare products and equipment for shipping
  • This role does not involve forklift operation
  • Strong computer skills are essential; approximately 50% of the time will be spent fulfilling computer and email requests for inventory shipments to other offices nationwide
