Job summary

Purple is seeking a Warehouse Materials Handler II to support receiving, storing, and distributing materials in our GA facility. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficiency, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 11:30a to 7:30p.

You will inspect incoming materials, use the WMS and ERP systems, operate forklifts and wrapping/baling equipment, and keep the warehouse organized to support production teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Ability to operate pallet stretch-wrapping machine.
• Ability to operate cardboard baling machine.
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Experience in reporting on key Inventory Control metrics.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
• Outstanding communication ability.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs random and initial inspections on incoming material by following the Incoming Inspection Process.
• Receives material into designated locations within the warehouse using the computer or WMS scanner.
• Uses the inventory control system to receive, transfer, and manage materials.
• Operate forklifts to move material up to 2000 lbs and provide material to production areas.
• Maintains the cleanliness of warehouse storage areas including loading docks and outdoor storage areas.
• Assists in the disposal of waste material created by the production process.
• Prepares outgoing shipments by using protective material such as pallet wrap, banding, edge protectors.
• Organizes the material within the warehouse storage areas to benefit the production teams.
