Job summary

MacArthur Co. is a 100% employee-owned national distributor of building materials. We are hiring a Warehouse Materials Handler to stock and prepare orders for distribution, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and team orientation.

You will work in both inside and outside environments, stocking, loading/unloading, and using a computer system for paperwork. Prior warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and documentation.
• Ability to follow safety policies and operate in a warehouse environment.
• Reliable attendance and physical stamina for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and checking orders for delivery
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Use the computer system to print delivery paperwork
• Stocking shelves and helping customers
• Drive Forklift in picking area and build pallet/load
• Organize building materials efficiently with various equipment
• Follow daily operations schedule and adapt to customer needs
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse and yard areas
• Make decisions within guidelines with team support

As a Warehouse Materials Handler, you will execute operations stocking & preparing orders of building materials for distribution to a network of customers. Customer service and team-oriented focus are of utmost importance. Your work environment will consist of inside, and outside, work areas to prepare customer orders. Each type of loading and unloading requires strict attention to safety and order accuracy. This position requires well-defined detailed work while producing repeatable and consistently accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and checking orders for delivery
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Use the computer system to print delivery paperwork
• Stocking shelves and helping customers
• Drive Forklift in picking area and build pallet/load
• Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
• Follow daily operations schedule, with an ability to adjust to customer needs
• Continually organize both warehouse and yard work areas
• Decision-making within clear guidelines & with the support of the fellow team and management
• Attention to detail, with better-than-average accuracy in the quality of the work

Job Requirements

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Able to lift 40-80 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks in a consistent and efficient manner
• Follow safety expectations set by company safety policies
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
• Able to walk, bend, lift, and reach products for 8-10 hours per day
• Able to withstand environmental temperatures (Winter, Summer Temps)
• Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience
• Forklift experience
