Job summary

Butternut Mountain Farm in Morrisville, Vermont is seeking a dependable Warehouse Material Runner to support the receiving team. You will supply production lines with materials, coordinate with warehouse staff, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or production experience, strong math and reading/writing skills, and a team-oriented mindset. The role features a Monday–Thursday schedule with early morning hours and a competitive benefits

At Butternut Mountain Farm, a second-generation, Vermont family-owned company, we proudly package and ship pure maple syrup year-round — not just during sugaring season. As one of the largest packers of pure maple syrup in the U.S., we’re looking for a dependable, dedicated Warehouse Material Runner to join our receiving team in Morrisville, Vermont.

Requirements

As the Warehouse Material Runner, primary responsibilities include:

• Provide individual production lines with materials as needed.


• Constantly communicate with production lines to understand the timing of when materials are needed.


• Coordinate with warehouse personnel as needed to ensure need materials are accessible.


• Verify quantities and correct items when removing finished goods from production.


• Monitor raw material inventories and notify warehouse leader/manager of potential deficiencies.


• Perform physical inventory as required or assigned.


• Maintain accurate records of transactions.


• Prep and stage materials as needed.


• Stock shelves as required.


• Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and locate and pull finished product.


• Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and locate and pull raw ingredients or packaging


• Use barrel cart to move individual barrels as needed.


• Use walk behind electric or manual jacks to organize pallets of finished product or packaging

To perform this position as the Warehouse Material Runner:

• Five to ten years of relevant warehouse and/or production experience preferred.


• Basic knowledge of warehouse and production practices.


• Ability to stoop, bend, work in cold and hot conditions, and be standing for most of scheduled work day.


• Good reading, writing, and math skills required.


• Ability to work cooperatively with other employees in a team-oriented work environment.


• Ability to set and act on priorities and meet deadlines.

Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (there is some flexibility)
