Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Materials Handler at our Minnetonka, MN site in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. You will lead a team handling receipt, storage, and movement of materials, support production needs, and ensure adherence to policies.

• Determine and direct manpower to meet site needs and minimize overtime.
• Assist Material Handlers in performing their tasks.
• Assist in completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals.
• Ensure that customer needs are met.
• Promote department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff.
• Lead the activities of assigned staff by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving department objectives.
• Schedule human and material resources within a department or section in conjunction with near-term plans to ensure availability; operate within budget.
• Make day-to-day decisions within established policies to carry out operations and processes.

Main Purpose of the Role

This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. With general guidance from functional management, responsible for providing team leadership to a group of employees responsible for activities related to the receipt, storage, and movement of materials throughout the facility. Supports the needs of production. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans tasks and solutions. Provides guidance to team on development, performance & productivity issues. Strives to increase quality and productivity. Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements & productivity.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• (Decision Making/Impact) Assignments are expressed in the form of tasks; generally makes day‑to‑day decisions within established policies, procedures and guidelines in order to carry out the operations and processes selected at higher levels; consequences of erroneous decisions or recommendations might include delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree ( ± 16 years) or An equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in materials handling, inventory control, warehousing and cycle counting.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 - $122,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
