Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Temp to permanent Warehouse Material Handler in Ladson, South Carolina. You will join a safety‑driven team in a clean, organized facility that supports a fast‑paced supply chain.

Pay starts at $19.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour on second shift. Weekly pay, benefits after 30 days, PTO accrual, 401(k) matching, and employee discounts are offered to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse work environment.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods and wear safety gear.
• Flexible schedule for various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
