Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a hands-on warehouse associate to prepare customer orders for shipping and support production. You will build skids, operate packing tools, and perform quality checks to ensure orders meet standards.

Work will involve maintaining a safe, organized area and following all safety policies. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and flexibility to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos.
• Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipping and assists with production.
• Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping.
• Operates crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
• Properly stencils shipping information as required.
• Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
