Job summary

Olgoonik is seeking a Material Handling Specialist in San Diego, CA. You will perform receipt, stowage, kitting, and issuing of material, ensuring MIL-STD 129N compliance and inputting data into the DSS system. Must operate MHE and maintain accurate inventories.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and good teamwork. A HS diploma and 1+ year related experience are expected; some college credit is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two plus years of college or technical training desirable (may substitute experience).
• Minimum one-year general experience.
• Minimum one-year specific experience in material handling, distribution, inspection, QA, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per DLA regulations.
• Load material on/off skids, pallets, and stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Fill MROs on a timely basis.
• Prepare reports related to distribution.
• Operate tools and equipment as assigned.
• Input data to DSS and other systems.
• Count, weigh, and record data; apply tags/labels.
