Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an entry-level warehouse associate responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organizing the warehouse, and ensuring proper storage according to safety guidelines. The role includes loading and unloading, hand cart movement, and manual picking per pick lists.

You will count inventory, verify materials against documentation, label items correctly, and use basic tools to manage crates and small assemblies. Reading comprehension and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Entry level, no experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Must have knowledge of custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify product from package labels.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities so proper inventory transactions can be made.
• Identify materials moved and match descriptions on documentation.
• Ensure proper labelling disciplines and up-to-date product numbers.
• Ensure bulk materials are boxed, taped, wrapped, packed, banded, shrink wrapped, or otherwise secured for safe transport.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials from printed pick lists.
• Pickup daily orders without forklift.
• Use a camera to document inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Use basic hand tools for opening/closing crates and basic assembly tasks.
• Read and understand written pick lists.
