Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in York, PA is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Warehouse Material Handler to support our facility with safe operations and state-of-the-art equipment.

You will operate or learn Powered Industrial Equipment including reach trucks and sit-down forklifts, perform picking, packing and shipping duties, and work as part of a collaborative team on a fast-paced line. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment and be a team player.
• Must be punctual with good attendance; detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during shift hours.
• Maintain accuracy in picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
