Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Material Handler I to ensure safe, accurate handling of materials in our warehouse and shipping dock. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, cycle counting, and distributing items while performing Oracle transactions for goods receipts and issues.

The role requires a High School diploma, forklift experience within the last four years, and a valid driver’s license. Prior experience with RF scanners and shipping documents is preferred. No travel expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year sit-down forklift experience within the past 4 years.
• 6+ months warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with RF scanners and shipping/receiving documents.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks following safety standards.
• Ensure EH&S policy compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas or shipments.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Participate in SWATs and support material handling operations.
• Handle all shipping/receiving requirements safely and accurately.
• Comply with C-TPAT rules and guidelines.
• Load/unload vehicles and move materials within the facility.
• Execute outbound shipments while preserving pallet integrity.
• Conduct daily/weekly cycle counts and investigate variances.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections (racks, forklifts, batteries).
• Process Oracle transactions for goods receipts and issues.
• Collaborate with other departments on discrepancies and inventory control.
• Maintain clear communications and support 5S housekeeping.
• Able to function as a courier and use basic hand tools as needed.
• Assist Production and other departments as required.
