Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Certification to operate all required motorized material handling and rigging equipment preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak before groups of customers or employees.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane, and other equipment as needed.
• Basic measurement skills including length, width, height and weight for basic math.
• Ability to read tape measures, calipers and micrometers.
• Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional variance.
• Must adhere to all safety rules.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Ability to make sound decisions using knowledge and judgment.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Follows order filling procedure.
• Measures work piece dimensions to verify machine operation accuracy.
• Completes work orders and production sheets with required details.
• Uses chop saw to fill orders.
• Performs preventative maintenance like sweeping and tool cleaning.
• Reports irregularities to supervisor for direction.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Wears required safety gear (hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses).
• Receives and stores items in stock locations as assigned.
