Job summary

Avantor is seeking a dependable Material Handler for our Sparks, NV facility. You will receive, move, store, pick, pack, and ship materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and OSHA safety standards.

The role involves operating forklifts and other equipment on a Monday–Friday schedule in Sparks, NV. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in warehousing, forklift experience, and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift experience required; OSHA forklift and HAZMAT certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse and inventory systems; SAP or similar is a plus.
• Effective reading and writing skills; ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math; accurate work under deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments; unload, count, inspect, and document discrepancies.
• Store and move materials to designated areas using approved equipment.
• Pick and prepare orders with correct quantities, lots, and serials.
• Process outbound shipments; confirm details and arrange carrier pickup.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; perform cycle counts and data entry.
• Use SAP / WMS and shipping software for data entry.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety per OSHA standards.
