Job summary

Andy J. Egan Co. is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler / CDL Driver to support warehouse operations and deliver materials to jobsites across Michigan and the Midwest. This hands-on role combines material handling, warehouse support, and commercial driving.

You will pull and load materials, operate forklifts, stock inventory, and ensure timely deliveries while working with field personnel and vendors to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Experience operating forklifts, trailers, and heavy equipment preferred.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare materials for delivery (pipes, valves, fittings).
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive, organize, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Deliver materials to jobsites across Michigan and the Midwest; regional travel may occur.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Inspect and keep company vehicles, trailers, and equipment in safe condition.
• Support warehouse operations to keep projects on schedule.
• Collaborate with field personnel, vendors, and project teams.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Warehouse Material Handler / CDL Driver to support warehouse operations and deliver materials to jobsites throughout Michigan and the Midwest. This is a hands-on role that combines material handling, warehouse support, and commercial driving.

One day you may be pulling and loading materials for a large construction project, while the next you’re delivering critical supplies to a jobsite, operating equipment, or helping maintain our facilities. You'll play an important role in ensuring our field teams have the materials they need, when they need them.

What You'll Do

• Pull and prepare materials for delivery, including pipe, valves, fittings, and other mechanical construction supplies.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Receive, organize, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Deliver materials and equipment to jobsites throughout Michigan and the Midwest, with occasional travel beyond the region.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain company vehicles, trailers, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Support warehouse operations and shop needs to help keep projects on schedule.
• Work closely with field personnel, warehouse staff, vendors, and project teams.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and enjoys a role that combines physical work, customer service, and driving responsibilities. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, works well independently, and is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

You should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience operating forklifts, trailers, and heavy equipment is preferred, along with familiarity with plumbing, HVAC, welding, or mechanical construction materials.

Required qualifications include:

• Valid CDL-A license.
• Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a variety of commercial vehicles, pickup trucks, and trailers.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Strong initiative, reliability, and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
