Warehouse Material Handler at Ryder System, Lafayette, Indiana.

Lafayette, IN 47905
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, forklift cycle counting, and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Accurately pick and pack, audit tote induction, stage products and load/unload trucks.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork including picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
- Valid forklift operator's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with a good attendance record.
- Demonstrates initiative, high accuracy, and pays attention to detail.
- Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Familiar with health and safety methods and flexible to work various shifts.
- Prepared for additional screening such as background checks and motor‑vehicle records if required.
