Job summary

ABC Supply Interiors in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dependable warehouse associate to pull orders, load trucks, and operate a forklift.

You will receive materials, maintain inventory records, and help with deliveries. This role requires overtime and Saturdays; prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be trained and certified by ABC Supply Interiors to operate forklift equipment.
• Stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout shifts.
• Lift up to 250 lbs with assistance.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building material products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Receive incoming building materials and place them into inventory.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient storage and quick retrieval.
• Pull ordered material from inventory and stage it for pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain all products in a quality and marketable condition; keep accurate inventory records.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently and estimate forklift load weights.
• Assist with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and unloading and staging at jobsites as assigned.

ABC Supply Interiors delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business.

In this role, you will pull orders for customers and load orders onto our company delivery trucks. You will perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.

Specific duties may include:

• Following all applicable safety rules and procedures
• Receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory
• Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment
• Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries
• Maintaining all products in a quality and marketable condition
• Keeping accurate inventory records
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads
• Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweight
• Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material
• Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned

Specific qualifications include:

• Ability to be trained and licensed/certified by ABC Supply Interiors to operate forklift equipment
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Knowledge in all applicable building material products is preferred
