Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply seeks a reliable Material Handler in Lakeland, FL to support receiving, storing, organizing, moving, and preparing materials for shipment. You will ensure accurate placement, keep work areas clean, and follow all safety standards and company policies while reducing waste and errors.

Primary duties include moving items from receiving to shipping or production, restocking stock locations, packaging for delivery, maintaining movement paperwork, operating a forklift when needed,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping or production.
• Sort and place materials on racks by size, type, or code.
• Restock materials and fill warehouse requisitions.
• Package materials for shipping and load trucks for delivery.
• Measure, cut, and package materials per order specs.
• Complete and maintain material movement paperwork.
• Open boxes and containers as needed.
• Operate forklift inspections and report issues.
• Support periodic inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and follow OSHA rules.
