Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, move, and prepare materials in the warehouse. The role supports efficient operations by ensuring proper handling, accurate storage, and safe transport for shipment or delivery.

Responsibilities include moving items, organizing by codes, restocking, packaging for shipping, and maintaining paperwork. Must have a High School diploma; forklift experience is a plus.

• Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

• Must be able to work Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping, production, or other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to coded procedures.
• Restock materials and fill requisitions for warehouse needs.
• Stack, assemble, band, and package materials for shipping or delivery.
• Measure, cut and package materials per order specifications.
• Maintain accurate Material Movement paperwork.
• Open boxes, crates, and containers as required.
• Load delivery trucks for next-day deliveries.
• Inspect inventory for damage or deterioration; report findings.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.
• Comply with company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
• Participate in safety meetings and accident-prevention initiatives.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
