Job summary

Switchgear Power Systems is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for the 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm) in Wisconsin. The role includes receiving, kitting, cycle counting, shipping, and other warehousing tasks to support manufacturing operations.

Pay is $23.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment. Prior forklift operating and warehouse experience (1 year each) are preferred, with full-time status and a focus on safety and process adherence.

• Forklift operating experience: 1 year.
• Warehouse experience: 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Adapts to changes in work plan, priority and management decisions.
• Supports improvement initiatives and participates to improve the work environment (5S etc).
• Looks for opportunities to improve work productivity and efficiency.
• Able to work cooperatively in a team and cross functional teams as needed.
• Able to apply new work requirements with minimal supervision.
• Achieves individual throughput goals.
• Keeps supervisors informed and escalates issues when needed.
• Assists in cycle counting and material strategy initiatives.
• Works with Production team to align part deliveries to manufacturing plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Become trained in the area’s core standards and operations before working without supervision.
• Stay current on processes, procedures, standards, policies and training for assigned job and operational area.

Job Description

Material Handlers are responsible for performing site warehousing functions that support the overall manufacturing operations and other customer-related activities. The activities may include but are not limited to receiving, kitting, cycle counting, shipping, etc.
