Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Macon, GA. The role offers weekly pay, a clean, well-run facility, and opportunities for advancement.

Shifts: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Pay: $17.86 per hour. You’ll handle inbound/outbound goods, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and use a WMS and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical aptitude with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and scanners.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Able to work within a diverse work environment
