What You Will Do

• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Move items into and out of storage, kitting area and/or production areas
• Follow all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area, and perform other functions on and off production line as required
• Maintain necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensure proper flow of materials/goods
• Perform cycle counting functions, select containers for parts or products, pack and seal parts or coils into containers or skids
• Load materials into/onto trucks, install strapping, bracing or padding, and complete shipping or receiving records
• Operate picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment, and trucks
• Participate in training for new team members, provide performance feedback, and work on safety, process, and quality improvement teams
• Train new members on machines, procedures, and safety practices
• Maintain the 5S program for a clean work area
• Follow HOMESafe, Personal Choice, and safety manual requirements
• Identify and rework defective work pieces
• Use hand tools and operate PIT (obtain PIT License)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to operate hand tools
• Ability to read and understand written English

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
