Job Description

The Warehouse Manager oversees daily operations, leading and allocating resources to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and financial goals are met. This role requires a strong understanding of product and information flow, including operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, and procurement. The Warehouse Manager works collaboratively across all levels of the organization to maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers, ensuring consistent customer satisfaction. Job Duties: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time:

1. All employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority. 2. Direct and manage all warehouse operations, optimizing warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization to increase department productivity, operating within budget controls. 3. Audit equipment, processes and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency. Establish accountability and take corrective action when necessary. 4. Monitor, verify, and coordinate 3rd party warehousing as required. 5. Manage effective employee relations. 6. Manage metrics associated with both on and off-site operations which include direct labor costs, shipment errors on product shortages and damaged product. 7. Maintain relationships with customer, vendors, transportation entities and corporate personnel. Resolve customer complaints. 8. Manage safety, loss control, food safety and quality systems. 9. Lead the development, planning and implementation of systems ensuring proficient methods of transportation of ingredients, packaging, and finished product to and from the facility. 10. Effectively communicate policy and procedure changes, operational updates, safety and quality concerns. Provide feedback on department goals. 11. Lead investigations, analyze for root cause, promptly report, and recommend corrective action. 12. Maintain inventories in JDE system. Monitor usage. Investigate and resolve discrepancies. 13. Manage physical inventory counts. 14. Responsible for off duty emergency calls that cannot be resolved within the department. 15. Other duties as assigned. Job Type: Full Time

Starting Salary: $75k+

Hours Per Week: 40+

Overtime: this is a salaried,exempt position. Not OT eligible

Experience required? Yes

If yes, what experience is required? 3 years supervisory experience. Experience working a warehouse management system.

Is the worker required to supervise other workers? This position will directly supervise 3 salaried supervisors, 8-10 hourlies and will indirectly supervise 30 hourlies (through the supervisión of the salaried supervisors).

Criminal Background Check? Yes, If in Mexico, 3 Amigos to provide. If in US, AMPI will provide.

Drug Test? Yes, if in Mexico, 3 Amigos to provide.

If in US, AMPI will provide. If a worker tests positive for cannabis is it acceptable? No.

English Level Requirement: Advanced, must be able to read, speak and write in English.

Drivers license required: Yes, a Mexican DL is OK.

Academic requirements: Industrial Engineer or a Logistics Engineer

Physical requirements: Will need to be able to sit for long periods of time and walk through warehouse as needed.

  • Housing options: Employer secures housing for X amount of months and then worker has to secure own housing.
  • Housing Type Available: Housing is available for up to 1 year. Can extend for 1 additional year if needed. Multiple housing options in Portage. Either group housing or two bedroom, shared apartments.
