Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our exhibit production facility. This role is perfect for someone who knows their way around tools, materials, and people – and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the day-to-day operations of our production shop and warehouse
• Oversee a team of shop floor staff, carpenters, and laborers
• Coordinate booth fabrication, repairs, packing, and staging for upcoming shows
• Ensure all materials, graphics, and booth elements are prepared accurately and on schedule
• Keep inventory organized and updated (from tools to booth components)
• Maintain equipment and shop cleanliness/safety standards
• Communicate closely with project managers to ensure smooth handoffs and shipping

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role (exhibit or event industry preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organization and time management abilities
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and floorplans
• Comfortable with power tools, basic repairs, and warehouse equipment (forklift a plus)
• Problem-solver mindset – you keep things moving no matter what
