Job Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse operations, ordering, and procedures to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency so that all product, supply, and equipment needs are met throughout the venue.
Responsibilities
- Ordering of product and confirming delivery and tracking in Yellow Dog.
- Ensure control procedures are used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining the supply system.
- Coordinate all warehousing activities with the management team and warehouse staff, including scheduling, payroll, and monitoring labor cost and effective use of employees.
- Receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment in large, centralized warehousing operations and ensure delivery to the stands/pods prior to game day.
- Use storage systems, policies, and procedures to maximize space and efficiency in warehousing operations.
- Submit reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendors, etc.
- Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments, or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- Forklift trained.
- Five years’ experience in the receipt, storage, or distribution of food and beverage, supplies, or equipment.
- At least three years at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, load, bend, and crouch, and work in freezers, coolers, and all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, especially on event dates, and remain on premises until all tasks are completed.
- Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and completing company-wide and job-specific safety training.
- Ability to report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day they occur.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary range of $65,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan.
Work Conditions
Location: On Site at Dicks Sporting Goods Park, Commerce City, CO. The role involves a significant physical demand including lifting, moving, and operating equipment. The season starts in February and runs through December.
