JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the General Manager, MBG Louisiana, the Warehouse Manager / Class D Delivery Driver Hybrid is responsible for driving and delivering pre-ordered products to assigned accounts, rotating and stocking products, and performing various warehouse duties. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that all products are stored, handled, and shipped in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This role requires leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Warehouse Manager:
Team Supervision:
- Supervise a team of employees, including responsibilities for interviewing, training, and disciplinary actions
Warehouse and Delivery Oversight:
- Manage warehouse operations and delivery teams, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards
Labeling and Product Handling:
- Use handheld devices to create and correctly apply labels to products
- Hand-select orders in various warehouse environments with fluctuating temperatures, including non-temperature-controlled, temperature-controlled, and bonded holding areas
Pallet Handling:
- Stack products on pallets according to proper procedures (e.g., avoid stacking heavy items on light ones, ensure labels face outward)
- Operate electric pallet jacks or forklifts to transport products and stage pallets at designated dock locations for loading
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to preferred work methods and promptly report unsafe conditions to the Director.
- Follow sanitation requirements to meet company policies
- Maintain and operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, handheld units, and personal protective equipment. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for all mechanical equipment
Loading and Unloading:
- Shrink-wrap products, stage pallets, and load/unload trucks as needed
Meetings:
- Attending all required company meetings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and expectations
2. Truck Driver Class D:
- Check the accuracy and stability of the load
- Deliver products to customers
- Merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards
- Invoice and collect monies due from customers
- Pick up company property as required
- Secure company assets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Settle all accounts daily
3. General:
- Follow MBG preferred work methods and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Adhere to sanitation requirements to comply with MBG policies.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jack, handheld unit, and personal protective equipment.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and safely operate all mechanical equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent physical activity includes sitting, typing/keyboarding, walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push up to 100 pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches and constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift and retrieving items from lower shelves.
- Ability to climb ladders or access items stored on high shelves or racks.
- Use of hands for tasks such as scanning barcodes, operating warehouse management systems, machinery, or writing reports.
- Good hand-eye coordination for safely managing inventory and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Capacity to remain active throughout the day, walking the warehouse floor, supervising staff, and maintaining organization.
- Good vision for reading labels, verifying inventory, and overseeing operations, with the ability to hear safety alarms or detect potential issues.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas or hot and humid spaces.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of general work experience preferred.
- Local delivery experience preferred.
- Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership role involving Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and distribution.
- Transportation and delivery experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and profit goals, meeting distribution objectives, and building positive relationships.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with sales teams, operations leaders, and team members.
- Must have a cell phone, a dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to work occasional weekend hours.
- Valid Class D Driver’s License required.
- Driving record must be within MVR policy guidelines.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.
