Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operations leader in Tipp City, Ohio to manage 40+ team members and 3+ salary supervisors. This role focuses on coaching, process rigor, cost control, and safety to ensure on-time, accurate distribution to stores.

You will partner with leadership to drive capital projects, monitor KPIs, and implement improvements that strengthen operational performance while fostering a constructive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred OR equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years management experience in distribution, warehousing or supply chain.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to use both verbal and written communication clearly and effectively.
  • Operational knowledge to identify trends and changes to the business to adjust accordingly.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Ability to benchmark, report, and summarize key metrics at a high level while accounting for root causes to performance.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports.
  • Working knowledge to meet compliance requirements of Federal and State regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies and contracts.

  • Trains, develops and coaches supervisors to achieve desired business results while providing career development plans.
  • Hold leadership team members accountable for goals and financial metrics.
  • Review options for capital projects and determine actions for which projects move forward.
  • Own capital project from start to finish as assigned.
  • Monitors and analyzes costs to meet budgetary goals.
  • Create a positive work environment through real-time observation and actionable feedback.
  • Use team member survey results to drive engagement and positive change.
  • Promotes a team environment that values differences.
  • Create ways of working leveraging diverse experiences and perspectives.
  • Manage inventory control methods to ensure correct shipments and on-time delivery.
  • Identify areas for improvement, assess risks/rewards and implement changes.
  • Responsible for productivity and breaking down goals by shift/area.
  • Accountable for shift safety, inventory accuracy, production and shift performance.

Manages all aspects of DF building operations including shipping, receiving, sanitation, inventory control standards in order to expedite merchandise through the facility in a productive and cost effective manner. This position is responsible for delivery and implementation of processes that will allow the business to meet organizational and operational objectives. Ensures compliance with safe work practices and fosters a safe work environment for all team members.

What You’ll be Doing:

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
