Job Summary

To manage, organize and control all activities within the Warehouse function. To maximize the efficiency and utilization of all resources, including labor and equipment to achieve the required service levels and performance results. To provide a key link between the Warehouse and all internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurate recipe and allocation of lot codes to all raw material/packaging deliveries
  • Ensure samples collected for Quality Assurance Department
  • Ensure correct inventory rotation of all raw materials and packaging
  • Ensure all inventory stock is verified to specifications
  • Working liaison with Purchasing Department to allocate delivery times
  • Manage all waste disposal
  • Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly to designated departments as required.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of delivering change through continuous improvement initiatives and techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure and capable of reacting to ever changing needs of customer requirements
  • Management experience of planning within a high-volume operation
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • Experience in food manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years)

  • Obsessive attention to detail, well organized and able to juggle many projects at once.
  • Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments.
  • Willing to address demanding situations head on with patience and respect.
Responsibility
  • Manages department, up to 50, across 3 shifts.
  • Recommends actions and directions to supervisors, leads, and others.
  • Position will have contact with outside vendors or contacts.
  • Decisions or actions may impact other departments and/or external relationships of the organization.
  • Position is responsible for staffing requests, interviewing, promotion/ demotion, and staffing levels of department.

Physical Demands/Efforts

  • Work requires occasional physical exertion, including some lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Mental & Visual Demands

  • Work performed by this position requires moderate concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.
  • Work occasionally requires some visual effort for periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards

  • Employee works in a manufacturing setting with some exposure to heat, cold, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience.
  • The position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury.
  • Less than 10% travel is required for this position. Travel would be to other sites via airplane.
  • Department Leader must have availability and flexibility to work different shifts and weekends, to provide any needed direct leadership support to employees. May need to work weekends or overtime as required.

Pay Range for Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager base pay range$90,000 - 115,000 USD/annually.The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum fornew hire salaries for the Savage, MD location only. Ranges will be reviewed on a regular basis. An employee’srate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time.In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team membersas a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.The Warehouse Manager position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionarybonus program up to 15%. Kettle Cuisine and all its legal entities comply with all federal, state,and local minimum wage laws.
