Job summary

Leviat is seeking a warehouse operations leader in the United States to manage distribution and shipping activities. You will lead warehouse staff, ensure accurate inventory, and coordinate with sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to meet customer needs.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and safety knowledge, with hands-on work in a distribution environment. This position reports to the Logistics team and involves active forklift operation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of logistics/distribution experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong inventory control skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for all aspects of distribution and operations for Leviat's distribution warehouse.
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse and shipping office activities and staff.
  • Lead team and ensure accuracy in inventory, receiving and distribution of goods.
  • Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to keep customer focus.
  • Respond promptly to internal/external customers via phone, fax, mail, or email.
  • Schedule shipments based on picking lists and sales orders.
  • Oversee receiving, unpacking, and inspecting shipments; handle damaged items.
  • Store, tag, and account for all inventory.
  • Operate forklift to load/unload trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and yard areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Function

:Directly responsiblefor all aspects of distribution and operations fortheLeviatdistributionwarehouse. Manage andcoordinateall warehouse and shipping office activities and staff to ensure conformance toestablishedprocedures. Leads teamand ensures accuracy in inventory,receivingand distribution of goods. Ensures customer focus through coordination with sales team, supply chain, and manufacturing.

  • Conducts work in compliance with the local and regionalsafetyguidelinesto coordinate the proceduresrequiredfor compliance with company,OSHAand state regulations.Promotes a safe workplace.
  • Manages all warehouse personnelin accordance withcompany policies by hiring, training, and motivating,planningand directing work, managingperformanceand resolving associate issues so that assigned performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Reviews,modifiesand implements all department processes,policiesand procedures.
  • Promptly respond via phone,fax,mailand /or e-mail ina timelyand courteous manner to internal/external customers.
  • Reviews picking lists/sales orders to schedule shipments to meet delivery dates and plan efficient and cost-effective operations that meet customers’ needs and customer satisfaction.
  • Overseereceiving,unpackingand examining ofincoming shipments;reject damaged items, records shortages, and correspondswithshipperto rectify damages and shortages.
  • Stores,tagsand accounts for all inventory.
  • Promptly and professionally servicing will-call customers.
  • Organizes andmaintainsaccuraterecords and metrics;auditsas necessary.
  • Performs regularly scheduled physical inventories;providesinventory reports.
  • Operate Forklift truck to load and unload trucks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and neatness ofwarehouse and yard areas.
  • Performsother duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 yearspreviousexperience inlogistics/distribution
  • Technical background with experience in customer service
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Strong inventory skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge ofwarehouseoperations bestpractices

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work usually takes place in a warehouse where temperatures are cool andhotand noise level can be moderate to high.The balance of work is in anoffice setting.(Warehouse 80% office 20%)Some travel may berequiredto attend meetings, training sessions, and make presentations.No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.

Sitting, standing, and walking are required.Some duties require bending, stooping, crouching, pulling, and/or pushing.May exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally.

Average visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents orproducts oroperatebusiness office machinery.Frequent reading/close-up visionrequired.

Auditory demands:

The typical noise level for this position is moderateto high,due toprinters, and light trafficin office as well as forklift and trucking inwarehouses.Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Repetitive motions:
