Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is hiring for a full-time on-site supervisor in a temperature-controlled warehouse. You will oversee a 24/7 operation, lead a diverse team, and coordinate staffing, safety, and performance improvements to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities include planning routes, managing equipment schedules, and collaborating with external maintenance partners. We offer health/dental/vision, retirement plans, and uniforms after start.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations with supervision experience.
• AA degree preferred; vocational/technical accepted.
• Forklift instructor certification a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, food handling, and inventory practices.
• Experience with barcode and warehouse systems and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs day-to-day transportation functions and staff to meet efficiency targets.
• Sets department goals and monitors performance to ensure targets are met.
• Provides training, development, and evaluations; assists HR in staffing.
• Directs routing, manpower and equipment schedules to hit KPIs.
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance with Penske to ensure safety and compliance.
• Develops and audits budgets and operating costs.

Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service Industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States. Providing over 37,000 deliveries a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the QCD fleet averages more than 40 million miles driven per year. QCD associates also help run a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation.

In This Role, You’ll

• Plans and directs the day-to-day transportation functions, including the work assignments of facility transportation supervisors and clerical staff, to ensure that department standards for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness are met or exceeded. (25%)
• Establishes and communicates department goals, monitoring employee performance to ensure they are met or exceeded. (15%)
• Provides training, development, and performance evaluations of department staff; works with Human Resources to department hiring to ensure selection of qualified employees. (15%)
• Directs the completion of routing, manpower, and equipment schedules to ensure that organizational KPIs are met. (15%)
• Coordinates daily and monthly repairs and preventative maintenance for all tractors and trailers with Penske for safety, to minimize down time, and to comply with DOT and other Federal and State transportation and safety regulations for all GSF distribution centers. (15%)
• Develops, audits, and manages the budget and operations costs to ensure efficient operation

What You’ll Bring

• 3-6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including team supervision
• AA degree preferred (vocational/technical accepted),forklift instructor certification a plus
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, food handling, and inventory best practices
• Proficiency in computer systems and reporting (barcoding, warehouse systems, timekeeping)
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a 24/7 operation with a focus on collaboration, safety, and efficiency
• Experience working in (or around) union environments - union background a plus but not required

• Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouse
• Supports a 24/7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Leads a large-scalewarehouseteam focused on safety, reliability, and service

Pay & Benefits

• $71,335 - $107,002salary range
