nVent is seeking a results-driven Operations Leader to manage Procurement, Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving and Material Flow. You will partner with Supply Chain leadership to drive procurement initiatives, lead time reductions, and Lean improvements while aligning resources, mentoring teams, and promoting a hands-on problem-solving culture on site in Houston.

This role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or warehousing, a degree preferred, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years in Manufacturing, Materials, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Shipping or Receiving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to influence views clearly.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Clear understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts; ability to deploy new processes.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Lead and facilitate daily operations of the Procurement, Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, and Material Flow area.
  • Work with Supply Chain leadership to drive procurement initiatives, lead time reduction, and outsourcing opportunities.
  • Provide adequate resources, ongoing work direction, and problem solving to ensure business goals are met.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
  • Be highly visible to associates and promote hands‑on, high involvement approaches to problem solving.
  • Implement a material tracking system/equipment and drive velocity and accuracy improvements.
  • Lead transformational projects that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost reduction, and Lean initiatives.
YOU HAVE:
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Shipping, or Receiving is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Efficiently operate computer programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Clearly demonstrate understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Change management with the knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods, along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
  • Function in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment, with a positive attitude.
  • Rotate between an office and plant floor seamlessly.
  • Lift/push/climb/stand/sit/kneel as needed.
