Job summary

Electrical Power Products Inc. seeks a Warehouse Manager to lead the warehouse, shipping/receiving, and material management to ensure accurate, safe, and on-schedule delivery to production and customers.

The role collaborates with Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Project Management and Logistics to optimize material flow and inventory visibility across facilities. Strong leadership and ERP/WMS expertise are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, material management, manufacturing or supply chain operations
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Proven experience in materials management, warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and material flow
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard business applications
  • Experience with ERP/WMS or other inventory management systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping and receiving and the materials group.
  • Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Analyze usage patterns and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and secure materials from suppliers.
  • Managing the movement of material between external warehouses and the production facility.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce material handling, touches, transportation, and storage costs.
  • Improve warehouse space utilization and reduce congestion.
  • Implement barcode scanning, inventory tracking, and other technologies to improve material visibility and transaction accuracy.
  • Establish appropriate controls for high-value, critical, and customer-specific materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, quality control, and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the materials handling and storage areas.
  • Partner closely with Planning & Scheduling to align material movement with production schedules.
  • Work with Purchasing to resolve receiving discrepancies, supplier issues, and material shortages.
  • Work with Production to ensure material is staged and available when required.
  • Communicate material constraints and warehouse capacity issues that could impact production or customer delivery.

The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Planning & Scheduling Manager

Job Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall management, organization, and performance of the company's warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, material management, and offsite storage operations. This position ensures that materials, components, finished products, and equipment are received, stored, controlled, and delivered to production and customers accurately, safely, and on schedule.

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the flow of material from receiving through storage, production staging, shipment, and offsite storage, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring material is available when needed to support production schedules.

This role will work closely with Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Production, Project Management and Logistics to ensure material availability and efficient movement of inventory throughout the organization.

Physical Requirements
  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.

  • Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
