Job summary

General Motors in Spring Hill, TN is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Lead to understand and resolve complex production and supplier issues across functions.

You will assess supplier schedules, drive cross-functional solutions, and communicate critical issues to leadership, including onsite support for launches and builds.

This onsite role may include relocation benefits and travel to plant locations as needed to ensure continuous production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to resolve issues with minimal production impact.
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
  • Handle complex capacity constraints to resolution to prevent plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary to drive issues to resolution.
  • Willingness to travel to plant locations for onsite support of launches and builds.
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate critical issues and resolutions to leadership.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to resolve capacity constraints.
  • Travel to plants for onsite launch/built support as required.
  • Analyze metrics to support resolution of supplier issues and supply sufficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
  • Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
  • Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
