Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Warehouse Technician to oversee equipment operation and general facility maintenance at our Katy, TX location. You will monitor performance and implement programs to improve operational metrics.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on conveyors and automation, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, and coordinating major repairs with vendors. A HS diploma and 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and warehouse equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.
• Able to lift up to 48 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $19.95 / hour plus incentives. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Responsible for overseeing warehouse equipment operation and general facility maintenance. This position monitors performance and implements programs to improve operational metrics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on conveyors, automation, and other warehouse equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, plumbing, and/or electrical issues
• Perform minor building maintenance
• Ensure proper operation of battery charger racks
• Perform repairs as needed on all conveyors and bar code readers
• Schedule major repairs with outside vendors
• Maintain facility grounds including keeping sidewalks free from snow, ice, or other debris and replacing office and warehouse light bulbs
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 years of experience

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak-season schedules may be required
