Job description

The Maintenance/Utility Worker plays a vital role in keeping our Riverside facility clean, safe, and ready for daily operations as well as high-visibility customer tours. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires high energy, a strong work ethic, and the ability to stay ahead of constant inventory movement and cleanup demands. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a top-notch work environment and collaborates well with other warehouse teams to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the facility by gathering and emptying trash across all warehouse areas.
  • Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and sweepers.
  • Bail cardboard and plastic recyclables and ensure proper sorting and disposal.
  • Oversee waste compactor operations, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks and report larger facility needs.
  • Support special cleaning and preparation needs for key customer tours and events.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure shared warehouse spaces remain clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse or facility maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Previous forklift and/or picker experience a plus.
  • Must bring a high level of energy and a positive attitude to keep up with daily cleaning and inventory turnover.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks and shift focus quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures.
  • Physically capable of squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Consistently follows safety protocols and takes initiative to maintain a safe work environment.
