Job summary

Fastenal is seeking energetic, team-oriented individuals for a full-time Maintenance role at our Akron, OH distribution center. You will perform maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and fixtures, with emphasis on conveyors and automated warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and possess a valid driver’s license with ability to meet driving record requirements
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs up to 100 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on conveyors and warehouse equipment
• Respond to work orders via ticketing system for Maintenance Department
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules
• Participate in health, safety and sustainability programs
• Complete environmental health and safety trainings
