Job summary

The Vitamin Shoppe in Ashland, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair DC equipment. The role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, with emphasis on conveyors, forklifts and MHE.

You will work with the Facilities Team to meet safety, quality and productivity standards. Starting wage is $30 per hour, with a Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm schedule, plus overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Knowledge in mechanical and electrical aptitude; other skilled trades.
• Some mechanical and electrical experience required; DC operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, adjust, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems.
• Inspect and maintain material handling equipment (forklifts) fleet and related components.
• Operate and maintain facility MHE, including scissor and boom lifts; manage battery fleet and chargers.
• Diagnose deficiencies in critical and non-critical equipment/systems; support safety and compliance.
