Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician. You will perform maintenance and troubleshooting of warehousing equipment in a clean facility, with a schedule of First Shift (B) Thursday-Saturday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, plus every other Wednesday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.

This role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with match, paid training, PTO from day 1, and safety-focused leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment required.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner.
• Maintains and troubleshooting plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
• Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
• Performs routine forklift repairs.
• Maintains batteries and related equipment.
• Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
• If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates.
• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed.

• Overtime Pay: $45.00 per hour
