Job summary

KeHE Distributors in Aurora, CO is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team on a full-time basis. Shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with benefits after 30 days including Health/Rx, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, 401(k), PTO and more.

You will support the maintenance department, perform repairs, and maintain plant equipment across building, HVAC, ammonia systems, and related utilities, utilizing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, and conveyor skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance functions including HVAC, ammonia systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor repair, rack building.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance team and support all aspects of the department; perform general building and grounds maintenance; ensure plant equipment operates optimally and perform repairs and long-term improvements.
• Maintain and repair building systems and utilities (interior/exterior structures, fixtures) using carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor, HVAC and ammonia systems.

Primary Responsibilities

The Maintenance Tech will assist the maintenance team and will support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance. Ensuring all plant equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing repairs and long-term improvements.

Essential Functions

Responsible for maintenance and repairs of the building (interior and exterior structures and related fixtures and utilities) through the use of a variety of skills consisting of advanced carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor, HVAC and ammonia systems.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must have at least (2) two years’ experience in commercial building maintenance functions including the following: HVAC, ammonia systems, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, conveyor repair, rack building

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

• Preferred Electrical Certification, Welding Certification, or HVAC Certification
• Ability to read blueprint and schematic diagrams
• Ability to work with outside contractors
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• The understanding of problem solving and time management
• Must have a valid driver’ license
• Operate a variety of maintenance equipment, including but not limited to hand and power tools, snow plow equipment and fork lift
• Reliability, dependability, multi-task, oriented, flexible in scheduling and after hour on calls
• Must have own tools
