Job description

Job Title: Maintenance I - Warehouse

This is an entry-level training and development position in maintenance. The Maintenance I teammate troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and facility support systems within the distribution center environment.

• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Essential Job Functions

1. Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of spare parts, inventory, and work orders according to company policy.
2. Assist with maintenance requirements such as refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
3. Manage battery charging cycles and rotation to maximize availability.
4. Perform inspections, cleaning, specific gravity checks, and evaluate cable serviceability and repairs.
5. Develop knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. At least 1 year of professional industrial maintenance experience.
3. At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
4. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
5. Experience with distribution center equipment like forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
6. Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
7. Basic computer skills, including experience with maintenance databases such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
