This entry-level training and development position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and other facility support systems in the distribution center environment.

• Pay rate: $18.90 per hour

Essential Job Functions

• Track and document spare parts usage, inventory, and work orders accurately
• Assist with maintenance requirements such as refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting
• Manage battery charging cycles and rotation to maximize availability
• Perform inspections, cleaning, specific gravity checks, and cable evaluations
• Develop knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Experience with distribution center equipment like forklifts and reach trucks
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance databases such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection
