Description

This position is an entry-level training and development role. The Maintenance I teammate troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and support systems within the distribution center environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of spare parts usage, inventory, and work orders according to company policy.
• Assist with maintenance requirements such as refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
• Manage battery charging cycles and rotation to maximize availability.
• Perform inspections, cleaning, specific gravity checks, and cable serviceability evaluations.
• Develop knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of professional industrial maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with distribution center equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Basic computer skills, including maintenance databases like MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
