Job summary

CITY Furniture, Inc. in Miami is seeking a Distribution Center Maintenance Custodian to maintain cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse, restrooms, and lounges. You’ll perform sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash disposal to keep the distribution center safe and organized.

This role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test are required; Florida driver’s license preferred; 40-foot

Qualifications

• No high-school diploma required.
• Janitorial experience in a sanitation role.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of warehouse floors, shelves, and equipment.
• Cleans restrooms, restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Picks up debris, disposes trash, and maintains orderly aisles.
• Dusts and wipes KPI boards and bay doors; removes cobwebs.
• Follows safety procedures and uses PPE as required.

What This Role Is…

As a Distribution Center Maintenance Custodian, the primary function of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse, restrooms, and lounges in the Distribution Center. The Custodian is also responsible for sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, disposing trash, etc. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY Furniture.

What You’ll Do…

As a DC Maintenance Custodian Associate, your primary responsibilities will be to:

Warehouse Cleaning:

• Sweeps up floors and disposes of trash.
• Empties trash receptacles throughout the center.
• Wipes all yellow rails and racking throughout the D.C.
• Picks up and sweeps debris between racks and guiderails.
• Removes cobwebs at the bottom of the racks, at the end of the aisle, and throughout the D.C.
• Dusts and wipes all KPI boards.
• Dusts and wipes all bay doors.
• Scrapes up old stickers and tape off the floor.

Restroom Cleaning:

• Picks up all debris on the floor.
• Wipes down all surfaces (toilet seats, sinks, urinals, mirrors, stall walls, stall doors).
• Sanitizes the urinals and toilets, clean the bowls.
• Wipes down the walls by the hand dryer.
• Refills all paper goods.
• Refills air freshener as needed.
• Refills soap dispensers as needed.
• Mops the restroom floor.
• Empties all garbage cans.
• Picks up all debris on the floor and tables.
• Places magazines and books in book shelf.
• Places all game accessories back in their assigned location.

• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test
• Education & Work Experience:
  • No High-school diploma required
  • Janitorial experience – sanitation position
